Timebook Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-09-23

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the Timebook mobile app, wearable app, the timebook.kr website and related services (the "Service") provided by the operator of Timebook (the "Operator"), as well as the rights and obligations of the Operator and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "User" means any person who uses the Service under these Terms.
  2. "Guest" means a person who uses the Service on a device without an account.
  3. "Member" means a person who has created an account by signing in with Apple, Google, email or another sign-in method.
  4. "Plus" means the set of additional features offered through a paid subscription.
  5. "Records" means all data a User enters into or imports to the Service, including time records, notes and routines.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of These Terms)

  1. The Operator posts these Terms in the app and at timebook.kr/terms.
  2. The Operator may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. The Operator will announce amendments in the app or on the website at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days before if the amendment is unfavorable to Users.
  3. A User who does not agree to the amended Terms may stop using the Service and delete their account. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amendment.

Article 4 (Agreement and Accounts)

  1. A Guest agrees to these Terms by installing and starting to use the app. A Member agrees to these Terms upon signing up.
  2. Members must keep their accounts secure and may not transfer or lend their accounts to others.
  3. A free Member account may be used on 1 device at a time, and a Plus Member account on up to 3 devices. Smartwatches and the web do not count toward the device limit.
  4. There is no age restriction on Guest use. Persons under 14 may sign up as Members with the consent of their legal guardian, and signing up is deemed to confirm that such consent has been obtained.

Article 5 (Provision of the Service)

  1. The Operator provides time tracking, routines, analytics, notifications, integrations with external services, cross-device sync and other features.
  2. The scope of free and Plus features differs by feature. The specific scope is shown on the Plus information screen in the app.
  3. The Operator may add, change or discontinue features to improve the Service, and will give advance notice of changes that significantly affect Users.
  4. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or circumstances of external services (such as Firebase, app stores or connected services).
  5. Integrations with external services are provided only to the extent that the User has connected the service and approved its permissions. Users may disconnect an integration at any time.

Article 6 (Plus Subscription)

  1. Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly and charged to the User's Apple App Store or Google Play account.
  2. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Users can cancel from subscription management in the respective store, and can continue to use Plus until the end of the period already paid for.
  3. Purchasing and restoring a Plus subscription is available only to signed-in Member accounts. When a restore confirms a valid subscription, the subscription is linked to that Member account.
  4. The price is the amount displayed by the store on the in-app purchase screen. Price changes will be announced in advance in accordance with each store's procedures.
  5. Cancellations and refunds are governed by the refund policies and procedures of Apple or Google, whichever processed the payment. Where applicable law grants Users more favorable rights, that law applies.
  6. When a subscription ends, Plus features are no longer available. Records already created are not deleted, and Users can continue to view and use them within the scope of the free plan.

Article 7 (Ownership and Management of Records)

  1. Users own the Records they create. The Operator does not use Records for any purpose other than providing the Service and the purposes set out in the Privacy Policy.
  2. A Guest's Records are stored only on that device until the Guest signs in, and cannot be recovered if the app is deleted or the device is lost. When a User signs in, their Records may be transferred to their Member account.
  3. The Operator strives to provide reliable sync and backup, but recommends that Users keep separate copies of important Records, for example by exporting them.
  4. When a Member deletes their account, the account and Records stored on the server are deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy, except for information that applicable law requires to be retained, which is kept for the required period. Deleted Records cannot be recovered.

Article 8 (User Obligations)

Users must:

  1. Not use another person's account or sign up under another person's name.
  2. Not reverse engineer or modify the Service, or place abnormal load on its servers.
  3. Not use payments or subscriptions fraudulently.
  4. Not violate applicable law or these Terms.
  5. Comply with the terms and policies of any external service to which they post or send content using the Service's sharing features. The management, removal, reporting and dispute resolution of content posted on an external service are governed by that service's policies.

Article 9 (Restriction and Termination)

  1. Users may delete their account at any time from the account settings in the app. Deleting an account does not cancel a store subscription automatically, so the subscription must be canceled separately in the store.
  2. If a User violates Article 8, the Operator may restrict the User's use of the Service or terminate the account. Except in urgent cases, the Operator will give advance notice and an opportunity to respond.

Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Operator is not liable for damages caused by natural disasters, outages of external services, or causes attributable to the User.
  2. Analyses, suggestions and summaries provided by the Service are for reference only and do not replace professional medical, legal, financial or other advice.
  3. Unless applicable law provides otherwise, the Operator is not liable for services provided free of charge, except for damages caused by the Operator's intent or gross negligence.

Article 11 (Additional Terms for Apple Devices)

When the app is used on iOS, iPadOS or watchOS, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions also apply. In the event of a conflict with these Terms, mandatory law and the applicable Apple terms prevail.

Article 12 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Any dispute relating to the Service shall first be resolved through consultation with the Operator. If no agreement is reached, either party may bring an action before the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
  3. These Terms are written in Korean and English. If the two versions are interpreted differently, the Korean version prevails.
