Timebook Privacy Policy

1. Personal Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in, the email address and display name provided by your sign-in method. You can also use the App as a guest without creating an account.
• User-created content: Records and content you create within the App, such as time records and notes. These are stored on your device and synced to our servers when you are signed in.
• Device information: Information such as your device model, operating system version, and app version.
• Usage analytics: Information about how the App is used, including feature usage statistics. When you are signed in, this information may be associated with your account identifier.
• Crash reports: Information about app crashes and errors.
• Website behaviour analytics: On the Website's landing pages: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, pointer and touch movement, the referring site, browser and device type, the country inferred from your IP address, and an identifier for the visit.
• Connected app usage: When you connect Timebook to a third-party assistant such as ChatGPT, information about the requests that connection makes: which feature was asked for, whether it could be answered, and how long it took. This is associated with your account identifier.
• Contact and feedback information: Information you voluntarily provide when contacting us or participating in surveys or customer interviews.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use

The App and the Website collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

• Providing and improving the App and its features
• Analyzing crashes and technical issues
• Understanding app usage to improve the user experience
• Improving the Website's landing pages
• Communicating with users about surveys, customer interviews, and other feedback opportunities to improve the App

3. Retention Period

Account information and user-created content are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Where applicable laws require a longer retention period, those laws will apply.

Website analytics data is held by Microsoft and retained under Microsoft's own retention policy, described in the privacy statement linked below.

4. Sharing of Personal Information

The App uses Google Firebase services to provide authentication, cloud storage, crash reporting, and analytics. Google processes this information on the App's behalf and under its instructions.

The Website's landing pages use Microsoft Clarity for behaviour analytics, which sets cookies on your browser. Microsoft acts as a data controller for this information under its own privacy statement, available at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

When you connect Timebook to a third-party app, such as a ChatGPT connector, records covered by the permissions you approve may be sent to that app in response to its requests while the connection lasts. This happens only because you started and approved the connection, only for the permissions shown on the approval screen, and only until you disconnect it (see Your Rights below).

Apart from the service providers and other parties identified above, and connections you approve yourself, the App does not sell users' personal information or share it with third parties for advertising purposes. Personal information may otherwise be disclosed only where required by applicable law.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the processing of your personal information at any time. You may also withdraw your consent to the collection and use of your personal information.

Apps you have connected to your Timebook records, such as a ChatGPT connector, can be reviewed and disconnected at any time. Disconnecting takes effect immediately, and the app must ask for your permission again before it can read anything:
